Conference Hall, Valencia College of Physicians

For the acoustic conditioning project of the Chuliá Campos hall at the Illustrious College of Physicians of Valencia (ICOMV), the architects MasMillet Arquitectura prescribed the installation of our Metrowall Acoustic Lines 5 and Metrowall Acoustic Micro wall coverings, due to their technical and aesthetic performance.

The design strategy to achieve acoustic comfort in the room consisted of installing sound-absorbing materials on the walls and reflective materials on the ceiling. In this way, it was possible to meet the optimal acoustic requirements, facilitating direct communication between speakers and attendees with the reflective materials and mitigating noise and reverberation that could hinder it with the absorbent materials. In this way, messages can reach the audience clearly, with good intelligibility levels.

The design of the Metrowall wall panels was custom-made for the project, combining grooved and micro-perforated panels and drawing geometries that integrate the lighting and the composition of the false ceiling with the layout of the panels. In addition, on the back wall where the lighting and sound control booth is located, two doors flush with the cladding were installed, integrated in a very clean way into the whole of the room.

This is a very interesting and well-studied project at all levels, where the application of sound-absorbing wood panels has been very well understood, which have served to provide a comfortable technical solution and at the same time warmth to the space.

The overall coordination and design of all the elements by the architects and the performance of our products have allowed us to achieve an excellent spatial and functional result.
